Cassville Community Life |
Cassville, Wisconsin
is a small village vibrant with activity. Education is an important
part of Cassville's community life. We have two elementary schools and
one high school in Cassville. Cassville's Municipal Building houses
our village clerk's office and provides brochures and information for
visitors to our area. The Municipal Building is located on the corner
of Highways 81 and 133 at 100 East Amelia Street. The Cassville community
turns back the clock to a time when residents knew their neighbors,
where front porches were more than ornamental, and served as a place
to gather and converse with passing friends and neighbors. Cassville
is the home of the Stonefield Historic site which allows visitors to experience
life in the 1800s with tours and demonstrations of life in that time.
Cassville is also the home of Wisconsin's first Governor, Nelson Dewey,
and you can tour his home site. Cassville's quaint setting in the Mississippi
Valley, accented by the gentle flow of the Mississippi River gives an opportunity
to fish, hunt, or just relax. Cassville has hosted the popular Twin-O-Rama
for many years and celebrates Bald Eagle Days with presentations and
Bald Eagle viewing at its best. During the summer, the Saturday Farmer's
Market provides the public with delicious home grown and home baked
goodies to satisfy every appetite. Local restaurants provide visitors
and residents with delicious cuisine and spirits. Local clubs and organizations
participate in many events during the year to provide dining and entertainment
for all. Cassville has four churches to provide for your spiritual needs.
It is a place that many call home, and a place that makes many "feel
at home". If you're looking for such a place, there's always room
for one more. |
